Thursday, April 15, 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. UNC Asheville's Ramsey Library and Black
Mountain College Museum + Arts Center will host an exhibition of photographs
from the historic Black Mountain College. The exhibit, which will be on view in
the periodicals and circulation area of Ramsey Library, features some 19 images
of Black Mountain College from 1933-1957. The photos delineate an arc that
traces the College's beginnings to its final years. It portrays some of the
central figures including Josef Albers, Buckminster Fuller and many others. An opening reception will be held from
4:30-6 p.m. Thursday, April 15, on the main floor of the Library. Events are
free and open to the public.
Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center preserves and continues the unique
legacy of educational and artistic innovation of Black Mountain College for
public study and enjoyment. UNC Asheville's Ramsey Library serves as a
repository for the museum's archive materials.
