The Poetry Bomb is a former Vietnam
era military practice bomb that has been converted by poet S.A. Griffin into an
art object filled with poetry from around the world. "Elsie" is the
first and only poetry bomb ever created. Published and anthologized widely,
Griffin is the co-editor of The Outlaw
Bible of American Poetry and also is a member of the performance poetry
ensemble The Carma Bums. He was named best performance poet by Wanda Coleman
for the LA Weekly. ThePoetry Bomb Couch Surfing Across America
Tour of Words 2010 will take Mr. Griffin five weeks around the U.S.
appearing at 27 different venues and driving approximately 10,000 miles; he
will surf many couches. S.A. lives, loves and works in Los Angeles. He is a
Vietnam era veteran of the USAF, husband and father. A working actor for 32
years, his credits include "Pale Rider", "Let It Ride",
"Perry Mason", "Matlock", "Twins",
"Dexter", "Designing Women", "Las Vegas" and over
150 commercials.
